At Maxfin

One of two brokers, hands-on with every file.

Rebecca brokers under Maxwell Financial Services Pty Ltd, the firm behind Maxfin, as Credit Representative 571611 on Australian Credit Licence 384406. The firm has arranged finance for Australian clients since 2004.

She works alongside director Russell Maxwell, whose bank-side credit background anchors the firm's approach, with Janette Hickman coordinating each file through to settlement. Clients deal with Rebecca directly from first conversation to settlement and beyond.

The heart of her practice is investment property lending and first home buyers: portfolio structuring on one side, well-structured first purchases on the other. Home loans, refinancing, business equipment and commercial property round it out. All lending is subject to lender criteria and individual circumstances.

Approach

She brokers the way she invests.

Rebecca has personally built a seven-property portfolio. That experience shapes how she brokers: structure is settled first, the lender and the rate follow.

Ownership, borrowing entity, security selection and repayment design are worked through before any application is lodged, because early structural decisions determine what a borrower can do next. A loan that is easy to approve today can be expensive to unwind in three years.

First home buyers get the same treatment. The way a first loan is set up shapes the second property, not just the first.

All lending is subject to lender criteria, credit assessment and individual circumstances.

Best Interests Duty

Acting in your best interests.

Mortgage brokers have a legal duty to put your interests first when providing credit assistance.

This duty has applied to mortgage brokers since 1 January 2021 under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act.
